Event - Year 5 Science Day at Newman University

13 March 2019

Year 5 went on a trip to Newman University. The children started the day by watching some amazing science experiments then went into groups of three. In these groups, the children worked with a student from the university to design and built their own moon buggies with circuits to make them move.

After lunch and a tour of the university, Year 5 then raced their moon buggies outside! There were lots of prizes for the fastest, one closet to the design, best team work and the buggy that travelled the furthest.

The children then had opportunities to ask university lecturers any questions about science. It was a great day!
