On the 25h November 2022, Year 6 went to Sandwell Valley to support their learning on rivers and living things and their habitats. We learnt how to read and follow a map, investigate how the river is used and carry out an experiment to discover the speed of it’s flow. We spent time in the bird hide, refugias and the long grass to discover what types of animals live in different habitats. Using a checklist, we searched for different types of fungi and categorised them. It was a fun and educational day for all!
