As part of our topic of ‘on the farm’ Reception visited Ash End Farm. We spent the day with Farmer Joan and became farmers for the day. We helped her collect eggs from the hen house, feed the goats and sheep and sang ‘happy hatch-day’ to the newborn chicks. We learnt about the farm animals and their young, learnt what farm animals can give us and enjoyed a birds of prey talk.
